The Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), established in 1987 as a Society under Societies Registration Act 1860, is India’s premier body of distinguished engineers, technologists, and engineer-scientists. It promotes the advancement and application of engineering, technology, and related sciences to address challenges of national importance and provides a platform for strategic planning and technological solutions for the country’s development. Since 2013, INAE has organized the annual Engineers Conclave in collaboration with leading national organizations such as DAE, DoS, DRDO, CSIR, IITs, and other major engineering institutions. Each conclave focuses on two themes—one related to the host institution and another addressing a significant societal challenge requiring engineering intervention. The conclave serves as a forum for discussing national priorities in engineering, technology, innovation, and human resource development, while generating actionable recommendations and engineering solutions for policymakers and industry.

The INAE Engineers Conclave 2026, being jointly organized by INAE and IIT Hyderabad, will mark the 13th edition of this prestigious annual event, bringing together eminent engineers, scientists, industry leaders, and young professionals to deliberate on emerging technologies and sustainable solutions for national development.
